Configure Content Studio

System administrators can configure the access to Content Studio from Cornerstone Saba.

Enable the service

Content Studio is enabled for learning administrators by default.

To disable it, system administrators can navigate to Admin > System > Configure System > Learning > Content and clear the check box beside Cornerstone Content Studio service.

Grant the security privilege

The following security privilege is required to access Content Studio in Cornerstone Saba:

  • Menuvisibility-LearningAdmin > Can access Learning->Manage Content->Content Studio

Users who need to access to Content Studio must be granted the 'Learning Admin - Catalog Builder' security role in addition to the 'Content Admin' role. The 'Learning Admin - Catalog Builder' role must be granted on the 'Universal' domain in addition to any other domain required by the users. If not already present, the 'Universal' domain must be created directly under the 'world' domain.

Learning Administrators can navigate from Cornerstone Saba to Content Studio, create a collection in Content Studio, and publish it into Cornerstone Saba as a playlist. Once published, Content Studio redirects the administrator to Cornerstone Saba to make any final edits to the Playlist. A playlist created in Content Studio can be updated in Content Studio or Cornerstone Saba.
Note: Attributes that are editable in Content Studio (such as title, description, list of courses, and so on), must be updated only in Content Studio. If they are updated in Cornerstone Saba, then there is possibility of these values getting overwritten from Content Studio. Attributes that are not editable in Content Studio (such as custom fields), can be updated in Cornerstone Saba.
