Work with your certifications and curricula

You can use the following navigation paths to view certification or curriculum details:
  • Search for learning catalog and filter the learning catalog search results for certifications or curriculum. Click the certification or curriculum name link.
  • Click the certification or curriculum name link in the My Learning portlet.

You can click the Begin Registration link on the certification or curriculum details page to register for the certification.

To view the acquisition history of your certification or curriculum, first navigate the to the details page by clicking the certification or curriculum link in your plan. In the Certification Details portlet on the right-side of the page, click the Status Audit link under Additional Details. Your acquisition history is displayed.

To assign the certification or curriculum to yourself, click the Click Here link displayed after the To assign this certification to you text.

You can view only those certification or curriculum paths that are not yet discontinued. You learning administrator can set the Discontinued From date for one or more certification or curriculum paths. Once this date is reached, the path is discontinued for the certification or curriculum and you can no longer view the path.

You must note the following scenarios while you attempt a certification or curriculum path:

  • If you complete a path after it was discontinued, then the certification or curriculum will not be marked complete.
  • If a path is discontinued after you completed the certification or curriculum, then you can still view the path.
  • If a path is discontinued, then the percentage completion of the certification or curriculum due to the discontinued path is not displayed. The certification or curriculum reverts to the percentage completion value of the remaining viable paths.
  • If a path contains a blended program, you can see the blended program only if you have the 'View' privilege on the 'SabaPackage' component. If you have 'View' privilege for the certification or curriculum, but do not have 'View' privilege on the 'SabaPackage' component, then you cannot see the blended program.

You can select the learning path and click the Set Default Path link on the certification or curriculum details page to change the default learning path set by the administrator.

For a certification or curriculum completion, the dates used for acquisition are as follows:

  • For scheduled or session-based classes, the 'End date' of the class is considered.
    Note: The Consider end date as completed on date setting is not applicable to certifications, curricula, and recurring courses.
  • For self-paced classes, the 'Completion' or 'Completed on' date is considered.
  • When a user creates an ad hoc transcript with an end date for a course that is part of the certification or curriculum, then that course end date is considered as the 'Completed on' date.
    Note: All the dates related to certifications and curricula are displayed based on the server time zone.
  • If the number of courses in a certification or curriculum is more than the number of required items to complete the module, then the completion date for the certification or curriculum depends on the sequence of courses in the module.
