Work with your class tasks

A task is an activity that is assigned to you as a part of your class registration.

Your learning administrator creates tasks and adds them to courses, delivery types, and classes. Depending on the association of a task and depending on whether the task is enabled or disabled for a class, completion of a task can be part of the class completion process. When you register for a class, all enabled tasks in the class are assigned to you. The successful completion of a class depends on the completion of specific tasks associated with that class.

For more details about class tasks, see Overview of tasks.

As a learner, you can perform the following actions on a task as part of your class registration:
  • View tasks and task details
  • Perform tasks associated with classes that they have enrolled for
  • Add attachments to a task while working on it
  • Mark complete the task
  • Request task evaluation and reevaluation
Notes:
  • The percentage completion of tasks is not displayed in enrollments and transcripts.
  • Once a class is marked completed, the completion status of a task in the class does not affect your class registration.
Task evaluators are responsible to approve tasks and oversee the completion of classes. Evaluators can:
  • Approve a task
  • Request reexamination of a task
  • View evaluation history for a task

For more details about the evaluation process, see Task evaluation.
