Data Import

The data import services enable you to import business data as Cornerstone Saba component records. You use these services to migrate data sets from external data sources. The process requires you to export your external data or copy it to an import file before you can import the records into Cornerstone Saba. For each unique record identified in a file, the data import tool creates a corresponding record in the system.

Cornerstone Saba's data import tool allows you to import data in the following ways:
  • Ad hoc manual imports

    You can perform ad hoc manual import of individual components by clicking the New UI Import link.

  • Scheduled data import jobs

    You can create data import jobs by clicking the New Job link for importing data of one or more objects simultaneously. These batch import jobs run at defined schedules and can use predefined SFTP connections and data mappings to perform the import.
